Ba Na Hills is a trending tourist attraction, especially for its incredible Golden Bridge and it would be a sin for us if We didn’t include this place into our itinerary. Visiting Ba Na Hills Vietnam has been a definite highlight of our trip to Vietnam. And we are so glad we did. It was a very entertaining day! Do you know that besides Golden Bridge, there are also many beautiful attraction and fun things you can do in Ba Na Hills. So read this blog post to know more.

How to get there!

You can visit Ba Na Hills from Hoi An as well as Danang by a private cab,by riding a motorbike all the way or you can go there by tours as well.we chose to visit via Da Nang since it was a closer and easier route. We rented a motorbike from Da Nang and left hotel at 5:45AM. It was a beautiful ride to Ba Na Hills, riding through lush green forest area. The journey from our hotel (which located facing the Han River) in city center to Ba Na Hills entrance takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes. We reached  front entrance at 6.30 AM. From there it’s a small walk toward the ticket counter. We bought our tickets at the ticket counter. Ticket price included the access to the cable car in addition to Ba Na Hills and the “fantasy amusement park”. When we reached there was only one couple waiting for the park to open. The official opening time of the park is 7 AM & the first cable car starts at 6.50 AM. We got a first cable car!

We suggest getting there early, at about 7 AM as it helps shorten the time waiting for the cable cars. Also, you can avoid a huge crowd on the Golden bridge to take some photos without the crowds. Read below to know about the ticket price.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT GOLDEN BRIDGE BA NA HILLS

The cable car ride takes around twenty minutes from the bottom station to top of Ba Na Hills, offering spectacular views of Da Nang’s coastline and surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the cable car ride it was such an amazing experience. While reaching the top, we were greeted with the site of the giant, white-washed, colossal hands holding up the famed Golden Bridge. When we opened the gate to theGolden bridge, it felt like our mission was accomplished. We took lots of pictures without crowds, clicked some drone shots and within 15 minutes the bridge gets packed with crowds. If you’re not a morning person then we suggest staying at the park until the second golden hour of the day. Most people leave the park before 5 pm, so you can get a better opportunity to click a pictures without crowds.

After successfully completing our Golden Bridge mission we decided to first explore the other side of the park to avoid the crowds. So we took a cable car directly to French Village. When we reached here it feels as we were transported to Europe and everything is quintessentially French architecture, from replicas of old churches, eateries to hotels it truly feels French. This unique village has so many photo opportunities. We enjoyed live music performace and shows here, and it was amazing. We had lunch here but we thought restaurants here are bit pricy. After this we headed towards the Alphine Coaster Ride. This ride let you down the hill on your very own sled! We Ride  double, and enjoyed the thrill of the track’s double helixes! Next to the ride is actual Fantasy Park.

Fantasy Park  has 3 levels of games, rides, and amusements which are all free the only thing you will have to pay for is the (wax museum and the games where a prize is on offer).we got to see the Tower of Terror, the Thriller, Jurassic World, 4D and 5D cinemas and more!We also enjoyed the ride that stands in the middle of the fantasy park, this ride made our belly doing flips. Don’t miss it. In all honesty we thought fantasy park is great but not so amazing for adults, actually it is a place that provides some great entertainment for the kids. Next we headed towards spiritual attractions in French village such as Tombstone Temple, Linh Phong Tu Tower, Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple, Campanile. We loved views from the Campanile. It looks over the French Village and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding area.

After this we took a cable car from Morin Station rolling through the clouds to Debay station. Here we first visited Linh Ung Pagoda which was short walk from the station. This is one of the most remarkable pagodas in Vietnam. This pagoda has beautiful 27-meter tall statue of Buddha Statue looks forward to the city. We took funicular from here to the Le Jardin D’Amour Flower garden. The funicular down to the gardens is a great ride. The flower garden consists of 9 gardens, each with their own special theme, overlooking the dramatic view all the way to Da Nang. We are not a fan of flowers, but when we were encounter the lovely Arapang and the lively Daylily, our heart skips a beat. And don’t forget to stop by the 100-year-old wine cellar nearby. You’d better prepare yourself, because you may get drunk not only on the beauty of the flowers but also on the finest wine. And from here we took cable car back to the base station.

You can spend an entire day exploring different parts of the amusement park. We only stayed half a day here and decided to head to Danang for some beach time.

Tip : Ba Na hills is on high altitude so there is temperature drop when you reach at the top and the weather changes suddenly so it is recommended to keep a jacket and a umbrella with you just in case the weather becomes poor.
